First post of the new year, and I’m in the revision chair with a first draft of my book due at the beginning of February. It’s great to be back in 1849 on the Oregon Trail, and I love reacquainting myself with my characters and their dilemmas, finding new ways to torture them and deepen their story arcs. But it’s not easy. 90% of the time, I look like this:
After a full day of writing, which for me, means 8-10 hours (a solid chunk in the morning (9am-1pm including a nap), and later at night from 9pm-1am) I do this:
And then I get up and do it all over again. Have I mentioned I love it?
